Aka Cyrus

Cyrus, will be my name of choice for my blogs. I'm a bartender, traveler, music lover, dog mom, and someone who's spent much of her life learning that the most important journey isn't the miles you travel, it's the one that leads you back to yourself. For over twenty years, I've worked in hospitality, collecting stories, sharing laughs, and meeting people from all walks of life. Behind every bar stool and across every countertop, I've been reminded that everyone is carrying something, a dream, a heartbreak, a hope, or a story they rarely tell out loud. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me chasing sunsets on the water, kayaking, exploring somewhere new, getting lost in live music, or curled up with my dog. I believe in adventure, second chances, deep conversations, and the healing power of laughter. Life hasn't always been easy. Like many people, I've loved, lost, stumbled, rebuilt, and discovered strength I didn't know I had. Those experiences have taught me resilience, compassion, and the importance of staying open to growth, even when it's uncomfortable. This blog is a collection of thoughts, experiences, lessons, and little pieces of life as I continue figuring things out. I don't claim to have all the answers. I'm simply sharing my journey, one story at a time, in hopes that something here makes you feel seen, understood, inspired, or maybe even a little less alone.
